Babies Situation:

Today, Trinity and Kinsley were visited by our neighbors Pat and Donna Abbott. It was a very nice visit along with a great day again.

Trinity is now on a CPAP of 6 which is the lowest setting. The next step is the nasal cannula. Hopefully, the doctors will try her on this in the next week. They are also trying to get her IV line out so they are aggressively increasing her feeds. Her 10th. day of her antibiotics should be on Sunday so if they can get her up to full feeds by Sunday, they should be able to pull the IV line. Trinity’s feedings are now at 24 cc’s over 30 minutes every 3 hours. She is still tolerating them well. She did gain weight and is now 3 lbs 12 oz. Wow!! Kinsley had a small change in her feeding schedule. She is now getting 32 cc's over 1 ½ hours every 3 hours. She is still at 3 lbs 6 oz.

Parent's Thoughts:

It was bath night again. Kinsley was too cold when we took her temperature so we were not able to help bathe her during our visit. The babies have to be at least 98 degrees to get a bath and she was only 97.7. Andrea will bathe her later in the night when her temperature rises. However, we were able to play with Kinsley a little bit though so it was OK. Her eyes were wide open and every time we talked to her, her eyes would look in the direction of our voices. It was so neat!! Keith also took his hand from one side of the isolette to the other (like he did for Trinity a few days ago) and again, Kinsley would turn her head side to side to follow his hand. It was amazing!! I can’t believe that they are doing that already. We were able to help bathe Trinity tonight. She wasn’t very thrilled with her bath but it was still fun for us. Any interaction with the babies is awesome. We love you Trinity and Kinsley!!! Can’t wait to see you tomorrow!!

Our Daily Encouragement:

Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

  1. Keith and Trena -

I just found your blog through a google search. Love Google... :) We met you guys at the March for Babies on Saturday. (Jeremy and Jennifer) I was just reading through your blog and its almost like a replay of what we went through months ago. Brings back so many memories. We will be praying for your girls. Many, many prayers were answered for our girls and our faith is definitely what pulled us through. We would love to get together with you guys sometime if you'd like. I know you're busy, but we will be following your girls journey through your blog and hope to stay in touch. Let us know if you need anything.

  2. Trena and Keith,
I can't believe how great you guys are going with this blog, every few days when I come to work I check on it and read it to my co-workers, we are all amazed at your descriptions. We are very happy to hear the girls are progressing, PLEASE GOD LET THEM CONTINUE!!! Uncle George and I are going away next week for a much need vacation thanks to my boss and his wife. We are going to Graceland, my biggest wish. I will mess reading your blog but will see if can get it while I'm down there. Rest assured my thoughts and prayers will still be with you all while I'm away. I can't wait to see new pictures. The girls in the office don't like the idea of not hearing about the girls for a week, they also think of them often. God Bless to All!
