March for Babies - Huge Success!

Family and Friends,

The March of Dimes was a huge success. Thanks to all of your support, we collectively raised more than $2,500 to help other families. Thank you so much for the continued support.

With lots of Love!

Babies Situation:

The Girls had some changes today. Both gained weight. Trinity is 4 lbs 2 oz and Kinsley is 4 lbs 3 oz. They both were started on Epogen. They will get 3 Epogen shots a week to help them produce red blood cells. This should keep them from having to get anymore blood transfusions. Their feedings increased. Trinity is now getting 40 cc’s and Kinsley is getting 39 cc’s - both on full feeds. The biggest change was the redcution of the amount of pressure being used for their nasal cannula. Trinity was reduced from 2 liters to 1 liter of oxygen pressure and Kinsley’s was reduced from 3 liters to 2 liters. This is a big step in the right direction.

Parent's Thoughts:

The goal is to have both Girls off the nasal cannula by week 36. Trinity is very close but Kinsley will need the 2 weeks. She still needs the extra support. They both have come such a long way and have done so well. They are amazing little fighters that continue to get stronger each day. We really look forward to them breathing totally on their own without any support.

Our Daily Encouragement:

If I say,"Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become nightaround me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Psalm 139:11-12
