Babies Situation:

We want to first start off by saying Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers out there. Hopefully, you were all spoiled like I was.

The Girls are having a good day today. Trinity has gained 4 oz in the last week and is weighing 3 lbs 9 oz. Kinsley is a big 3 lbs 6 oz. She has gained 7 oz this week. She is slowly catching up with her sister. You go Kinsley!!! In length, Trinity has gone from 14.6 inches to 15.25 inches in the last week and Kinsley has gone from 13.9 inches to 15.25 inches. Trinity’s feedings continue to increase. She is getting 15 cc's every three hours with very little residuals. Kinsley is still at full feeds getting 32 cc's continuously every two hours with one hour off. She is breathing room air with a pressure of 8. Hopefully, this week her pressure will be reduced to 7. Trinity is breathing room air with a pressure of 7. She did have her lumbar puncture done today and the doctor was able to get a few drops of spinal fluid out(this is the third try-poor Trinity). They will test for meningitis but are pretty confident that she doesn’t have this.

Parent's Thoughts:

I enjoyed every minute of my Mother’s Day today. A bunch of my friends texted me wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day, my Family(both sides) called and sent the sweetest cards, and my husband made sure it was an unforgettable day. The best part of it all though was getting to see our precious babies and holding them. I held Trinity and Keith held Kinsley. I LOVE to see Keith holding them. It melts my heart. I couldn’t ask for a better Mother’s Day today. Thank you to everyone who made this extra special for me, especially you Keith. Thank you God for our little miracles!!!

Our Daily Encouragement:

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.

Jeremiah 17:7

  2. We met you at the March of Dimes walk on Saturday. I am so glad you had a wonderful Mother's day and that your girls are doing so well. We have been praying for them and think about them constantly. Reading your blog is like replaying all of our NICU days. You have been blessed with two beautiful little fighters. It will be so amazing to see how God heals them and the plans he has for their lives. Feel free to email with any questions. (jjcheatham@yahoo.com)
