Babies Situation:

It was a great day today. The babies were peacefully sleeping when we arrived. Not too much has changed since yesterday. Both Trinity and Kinsley are hanging tight. Our Doctors are still holding off on their feedings as of now. They did find staph in Kinsley's urine culture but they are waiting for it to grow out more to find out what kind it is. She has been on antibiotics so hopefully it will be resolved soon. Kinsley also gained weight. She is now 2 lbs 8 oz. Trinity remains at 2 lbs 11 oz.

The big news of the day is that Daddy held for the first time!!! Trinity was the lucky girl as she was able to snuggle on Daddy's chest. She seemed to really enjoy her Daddy as she sated high the entire time and was as peaceful as can be. Mom couldn't stop smiling but Mom wasn't left out. She was able to hold Kinsley at the same time. It was a very intimate moment shared amongst our family. It felt like the world stopped around us. Pictures were taken with Grammy's camera. Once we can get them developed, we'll post them.

Parent's Thoughts:

We owe a big thanks to Bridget, the girls Nurse today, for convincing Dad he needed to hold Trinity instead of Mom. It was awesome to have one of my baby girl in my arms - an amazing experience. Mom's reaction of me with Trinity was priceless and worth it all.

However, I can't lie. I have many reservations about holding them right now. With all the infections coming up, I really felt as if it would be best for them to remain in their isolettes with the least amount of disturbances. The stress of moving them and the potential risk to me felt unnecessary right now but I am glad I did it.

We also want to thank you all again. It is truly amazing to us that so many of you are in their corner. We love to read all of your comments, emails, and everything else. We feel very blessed.

Our Daily Encouragement:

And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

Acts 4:31
