Babies Situation:

We had another close friend come to visit today, Shannon (all the way from Michigan). The girls were very happy to see her and opened their eyes to greet her.

Big news of day - Pam told Mom she could hold both of them - Trinity first and then Kinsley. This was the first time that Mom could hold both of them - truly amazing. It also marks the 3rd hold for Kinsley, her last was a couple of weeks ago.

Their feedings have stayed the same. Kinsley is getting another x-ray tomorrow to see how here lungs are doing.

Developmentally the girls are working on self-consoling themselves to calm themselves down when necessary without the Nurses assistance. They are also working on flexing and getting toned up. They are handling their assessments and baths very well with limited stress. The way they are positioned in their isolettes is also very important for proper development. The Nurses position their hands to their face with their arms and legs bent and close to their body. The girls like and need boundaries (as if they were in the womb). Snuggle-ups provide a very stable environment for them with a little Gel pad under their head and shoulders for good support. It was also interesting to find out that they get dizzy very easily so they need to be moved slowly.

Parent's Thoughts:

Many good days in a row - a day of rest and the girls took advantage right on Mom's chest. It was so nice to see them all together - sharing their love for each other. For a moment all was right and OK. We felt very fortunate. It is also amazing to me how the whole process of getting them from their isolettes to Mom with all the cords and monitors being moved along the way. All of our Nurses, so gentle and loving with the girls - a true blessing these little ones.

Our Daily Encouragement:

He sends from heaven and saves me,... God sends his love and his faithfulness. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

Psalm 57:3,5
