Babies Situation:

Today was a nice, quiet day. When we got to the NICU, the Girls were all wrapped up and snuggled in. It’s so nice to find them that way. They look so peaceful and comforted. Thank you Crystal, one of the girls primary nurses. Both babies gained weight. Trinity is now 2 lbs 11 oz and Kinsley is 2 lbs 7 oz. It’s always exciting to find out that they have gained. Gaining weight is so important for them at this point. The more they gain, the better they can fight off infection and will be able to hold their body temperature. Good news on Trinity. They were successful in getting the PIC line in today so the IV in the head came out. Thank you God! Her blood culture also came back negative. That is huge!!! Not too much going on with Kinsley. They are watching her closely to see if she will continue to follow in her sister’s footsteps. So far, nothing has changed. In the next few days, the doctor will decide if she will need a PIC line or if she will be able to start feeds again. Mom did get to hold her today. Again, she snuggled in and took a nice nap on Mom’s chest.

Parent's Thoughts:

Today was a good day and we LOVE good days!! It was uneventful and calm and the babies looked great. Thank you God for the peace and comfort we have. We feel very blessed to get the opportunity to watch your miracles grow.

Our Daily Encouragement:

I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will.

I John 5:13-14

  2. All four of you amaze me. You just keep fighting and those girls just keep getting stronger. Your family bond is simply incredible.

  3. Yay! I'm so glad Daddy got to hold Trinity. What a special moment for your family. I know it is hard to think about moving them around with all of the wires, but it is sooo worth it for both you and them. It's normal to be scared about it. We had the same reservations about holding our girls when they were in the NICU (and they were much bigger). It will keep getting easier for you all, and it is such an amazing blessing! We will keep the prayers coming!!

    Love,
