Saturday April 18th

Babies Situation:

We had more family in town this weekend to meet the girls - Mike and Stacy. It is interesting to note that Mike and Stacy have a unique bond to the girls - they are all native Texans.

The big news today comes when our Nurse, Pam, told Mom she could hold Trinity. It was so precious to see them together. Trinity cuddled right into the Kangaroo care on Mom's chest. Pictures will be posted soon.

Overall Trinity is doing OK. She had another evening diaper blow-out. Our Nurse, Sally, was used to this and took every precaution but Trinity had other plans. This time she decided to send it out the sides of her tiny diaper. She is still having some A's and B's. She weighs 2 lbs 8 oz. Our Doctor also decided to start giving her some Iron.

Kinsley has had some of her own challenges. It seems as if her feet are somewhat positioned outward from the birth. She had her first session with her physiotherapist who will be doing exercises with her to help get things proper. She hasn't pooped today and weighs 2 lbs 4 oz. She is doing better on her oxygen with the CPAP as well (read below).

Parent's Thoughts:

What a true blessing today. More family to see the girls and since it is Saturday, I had the opportunity to be here for Mom and Trinity's first embrace. It was a beautiful sight and a long time coming - 32 days from birth. Kinsley also loved every moment of Mom and Trinity's experience. Kinsley let her Parents and Sister know how excited she was for her through her monitors - breathing at much better/higher rates than she had been for the rest of the day. The prayers are working... we are all together... working through things... he is listening... and we appreciate it all.

Our Daily Encouragement:

To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

Psalm 3:4-5

  1. This entry gave me goose bumps. I can't wait to see the pictures. Your little girls as so precious. They are going to be the best of friends and you guys as parents are going to be so blessed to have a front row seat to watch it all. What a cute family you are.

We love you all and pray for you daily.

    Love,
    Melissa, John, Avery and Camille

PS. Av had the same problem with her feet. She had to wear a few casts and then a bar with little shoes on it. Both feet are just as they should be now.
