Babies Situation:

Trinity came in at a whopping 2 lbs 3 ounces. She also had another infamous poop party this time with her evening Nurse, Sally. She got another bath and really likes them. They are still being suctioned quite a bit but the girls overall had a good breathing day with few Apnea's and Brady's.

Kinsley weighs 1 lb 14 ounces. When Kinsley was given her bath she had some curly hair but they will most likely lose this hair by the time they come home.

Right now their hair is dark but with each day it is starting to lighten up with some loss. They are still fighting the infections but overall a much needed quiet day of good rest for the girls.

Parent's Thoughts:

After a rough week we are able to regroup and get a little peace and comfort. There are a lot of variables/changes that are being made each day and we recognize they are making progress whether it is weaning them off of some of the drugs (Keppra), increasing their feedings, or them just being able to register more breaths on their own without the help of the ventilators. Slow and steady progress is a true blessing. We pray that these infections will be removed from their lungs so they do not struggle as much next week with their breathing.

Our Daily Encouragement:

Praise be to God the Father our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

1 Peter 1:3

  1. Psalm 121

    I lift up my eyes to the hills --
    where does my help come from?
    My help comes from the LORD,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

    He will not let your foot slip --
    He who watches over you will not slumber;
    indeed, He who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

    The LORD watches over you --
    the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
    the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

    The LORD will keep you from all harm --
    He will watch over your life;
    the LORD will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forever more.

    God Bless your baby twins.
