Babies Situation:

The girls have hit a nice milestone - 2 weeks from birth today. The girls decided (actually parents) to have cookies (Tiff's Treats) sent to all of the hardworking, caring, Nurses in the NICU. They have had more than 20 Nurses taking care of them over their first 2 weeks. Mom got to change Trinity's diaper again. Trinity is growing steadily and now weighs 1 lb 11 ounces. She doesn't have to work as hard as Kinsley since she is on the ventilator and seems to be gaining weight quicker. Kinsley had her 2nd spinal tap as they saw some signs of infection on the 3rd. day of the original test. Our Doctor believes it is a staff infection that is related to her skin. This isn't great news but it could be worse so we are very thankful. The Doctors monitor the results of the test on a day to day basis. The earlier the signs of infection the worse it could be for her. The Doctors keep her on antibiotics in case there is some type of contaminant again.

Parent's Thoughts:

Tonight was another good night for us (the Parents) as in between hospital visits, we were able to have dinner with the Reid's, discuss our situations, and get to know them better. Please continue to pray for them and their babies, Jenna and Blake. They have been in the NICU since Jan. 15th. but hopefully will be able to go home soon. We feel very blessed to have them in our lives now as they guide us through this process. We also know that many of you out there are supporting us from afar. You all mean so much to us and we just want to thank you for the continued support.
