Overall it was a good day. In fact it was a good Friday - The Good Friday. The girls are still fighting through their infections. We are all very happy that this week is behind us.
The girls are still being suctioned hourly to help with their breathing. They are still having long apnea's due to the infections. They are also increasing their feedings and have been able to maintain the increase well with no other side issues. Nutrition is key right now. Kinsley came of the TPN/IV today to catch up with her sister.
We are able to see more features on the girls as they continue to grow. The changes are more noticeable as the ounces are put on. An ounce makes a big difference in these early stages.
Parent's Thoughts:
The girls had another visitor today, our close friend, Sarah. Sarah is also a part of our Church Group. It is nice to share our experience with our friends too. Other close friends came by last week, Tally, Heather, and Maddy but unfortunately they could not come in to see them due to some issues the girls were having at the time.
I read something today that has a significant impact on how we are working through things with the girls and with the NICU situation. We have always tried to follow this below but it is really nice to remember again that it is not our plan that matters. Here it is:
Our lives are not determined by what happens to us - but how we react to what happens. Not by what life brings to us - but by the attitude we bring life.
Our Daily Encouragement:
2 Corinthians 9:12
Hi Guys
ReplyDeleteJust me again, thinking of you always, the girls at work, Carol and Robyn ask everyday how the girls are doing and are glad to hear that things seem to be progressing.
Keep up the good work! Love to everyone!
