Babies Situation:
Early Sunday morning (AM) Trinity began having considerable A's and B's. Unfortunately, our Doctor thinks it is best for her to be put back on a ventilator. This time it is a bit different as she needs just a little help. She is put on a different type of ventilator that will be set at a very low level but will still allow her to rest and deliver pressurized breaths of oxygen at regular timed intervals.
Kinsley is doing well with her breathing and is on room air but still does continue to have some sporadic A's and B's. Their blood levels seem to be stabilizing but they are still having the seizure like movements. Both of them are given Keppra, a medication to help.
Parent's Thoughts:
It was nice for us to able to spend an afternoon with our daughters. They looked comfortable today which was nice for a change. The buzzers still catch our attention but we now understand when we should/should not be concerned. We also had some family come in for dinner which was great but Grandma went back to Ohio for a well deserved break. Overall it was another good day even though we had the small set-back.
Our Daily Encouragement:
Yours is the day, yours also the night; you established the luminaries and the sun. You have fixed all the bounds of the earth; you made summer and winter.
Psalm 74: 16-17

Trena and OB. I love you two and would do anything in the world to help. I will be in Austin around the 15 to the 20th. I would love to see the two of you and do something to help while I am there. You have been one of my largest supporters through my diagnosis and I only hope I could be at least a fraction as good to you as you are to me. Trinity and Kinsley are so adorable. OUr love goes to your entire family and my whole family has you in their prayers.
ReplyDeleteLove you

ReplyDeleteTrena and OB, I think of you both every day and pray for those little girls to pull through. I just want you to know I am here for you both for whatever you need. They are so beautiful and I can't wait to meet them!!!
ReplyDeleteYou both have been so wonderful to me in tough times and I only hope I can repay a portion of it. Your friendship is a gift and I am very grateful to know and love you both.

Trena and Keith, We truly miss being your neighbors in the NICU! Since the move, we've thought about you guys and Kinsley and Trinity often and have included you all in our daily prayers. We know the road can be difficult and unpredictable but know that you have many friends and much family that are sending their love and positive thinking. As always, we enjoy hearing your thoughts and sharing ours with you as we continue on similar paths. Like you, we are extremely thankful for each day. Be sure to give the girls hugs for us and tell them that Blake and Jenna miss them (They can't wait to have play dates one day!).
