Babies Situation:
Both Girls are still on the nasal cannula today. Kinsley did struggle a little bit last night but the Dr. decided to increase the air flow on the cannula so now she is doing much better. If she continues to have too much trouble, they will move her back to the CPAP for awhile. They don’t want her working too hard burning much needed calories. Both their feedings increased today though. Trinity is now at 35 cc's and Kinsley is at 37 cc's. Oh, and how could we forget. They moved bays. They are now in the “feeders and growers” bay. This bay has older, more stable babies that don’t need as much attention as the babies from our old bay. The girls also had some new nurses over the past few days and today helping them - thank you Carol, Madison, and Shari. Dawn will have them again tonight - the girls are very excited.
Parent's Thoughts:
It is so nice having both babies in a crib and on nasal cannula. The one downside is that we can’t keep our hands off of them. They are easily accessible and we can see their cute little faces. We can also hear them grunting and cooing which just makes us smile. All day today, we were leaning over them, adjusting their hats, adjusting their blankets, talking to them, looking at them, wiping their mouths…. They aren’t going to get much sleep with us around. Sorry Girls, you’re just too cute and we have waited a long time for this. We’ll have to discipline ourselves to make sure we aren’t bothering them too much! ha...
Our Daily Encouragement:
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.
Proverbs 12:22
