Babies Situation:
Today, the girls had another visit from our friend Julie. She and I were able to catch up as I held Kinsley. It was really nice. She saw the twins when they were around 1-2 weeks old so she was amazed at their changes. Something happened today that we never thought would happen. Kinsley caught up with Trinity on weight. They both weigh 3 lbs 9 oz. Trinity’s feeds did increase to 32 cc's over 1 hour every 3 hours while Kinsley increased to 35 cc's over 1 hour every 3 hours. Together, they are going through close to 7 NICU bottles (each bottle is 2.5 oz). The nurses have asked me to bring some of my reserves of frozen milk from our house about every other day. I’m glad I have a good supply. The nurses have also noticed that Trinity de-sats during her feedings and has some milk back-up in her air tube. Dr. Untalan decided to put her on a reflux medicine to see if it helps. To prepare Kinsley for the nasal cannula, her CPAP of 7 was reduced to 6. She is doing great so far!
Parent's Thoughts:
I was able to hold both the girls today both separately in the cradle position which was very nice. I get to see their precious faces, admiring their little features. Kinsley let out a little baby cry as the nurse moved her from her isolette to my arms and it melted my heart. With them being born at 24 weeks, it has been a long, hard journey but getting to watch them grow and change each day has been a miracle. When I see the look on new Parents faces as they enter the NICU for the first time, I hurt for them knowing what they are feeling and will be going through but I also know that it will make them into a better, stronger person and that they will experience the miracles we have. I pray that all these Parents have God in their hearts. We couldn’t have gotten through this without him.
Our Daily Encouragement:
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.

Brooklynn had reflux as well. Our doc prescribed baby Prilosec when she was 1-2 months old. It helped a lot, and she only needed it for a few months. ;)
